Minnesota Wild Chatter

Well one day to thanksgiving and it is time to give thanks to the Minnesota Wild. They play tonight at home againest the Oilers, and it sounds like Gaborik is finally going to get the nod to start. I give thanks to him because his offense is needed badly. He is a superstar and could be the best player in the league if he could stay healthy.

Thanks to Manny Fernandez who is 6-3 on the year and has become the better goalie on this team. Dwayne Roloson is 3-6 on the year and has struggled at times to keep the team ahead. Roloson will probably get the start tonight and the Wild will probably lose because the Wild can't score and take stupid penalties.

Speaking of stupid penalties the Wild on Saturday night a game I went to had two bench minor penalties for too many men on the ice. I can see one penalty but two is unacceptable and the coaches need to be taken accounted for those penalties.

Thank You Kurtis Foster for playing defense like a true offensive defensemen should, and not the Flippe Kuba style of playing. He scored two beautiful goals on Saturday and has a slapshot that would make Patrick Roy crumble.

Thank You Minnesota exceutives for signing Brian Rolston he has been a pure joy to watch and hopefully will be a Wild player for a long time. And speaking of a heck of a shot he has got one that would make a grown man cry if hit.

And last but not least Thank you Sergi Zholtek a Minnesota Wild legend that made unbelievable goals on a Wild team that almost made the Stanley Cup finals it's third year of play. Zholtek died in the hands of his friend Darby Hendrickson in his native Lativa, he was remembered on Saturday night by his son. As I watched the highlight reel I remember he was the one player that could make a goal whenever you needed a big goal. Thanks You Minnesota Wild for bringing Hockey back and whatever you do never leave again.
