News and Notes today

Eric's Rumors and Notes of the day
  • Mike Piazza a Twin? he has been contacted by the Twins about switching from Catcher to the DH position. Another right-handed bat in this left handed lineup that sounds good.

  • Minnesota Vikings have a secret weapon and his name is Fonti. Yes the 400 pound guard has been under double secret workouts and might start in place of Liwenski this week at Green Bay.

  • Reggie Sanders a Twin? St. Louis newspapers have been spamming that Reggie Sanders might be looking at the Twins as a place to play out his final years in the Major Leagues.

  • Coach Jacque Lemaire went nuts on his Wild players this week and made many players do wind spirits. The Star Tribune says Lemaire is tired of giving up leads at ends of games and wants his offense styled players to become more defensive. He even denied Gaborik and Choinard access to practice after he told the players they could practice, but were late to practice.
  • Jason Kubel knee injury is not progressing as good as the Twins want it too. The Star Tribune says that Kubel's knee similar to the injury Culpepper has, is taking longer than stated to heel and recover.
